What we do

Precision Sports Academy (PSA)  runs soccer program to vulnerable kids in various parts of Zambia. The Soccer Academy is using soccer and has to train, equip, mentor & empower kids (boys and girls) from communities stricken by abject Poverty in Zambia, Africa. We teach our participants valuable life skills, such as respect, communication, and teamwork that has benefited them greatly both on and off the field.   Our soccer academy has been able to impact kids from troubled backgrounds, helping them learn to integrate peacefully with others. We have seen an improvement in behavior and their performance both on the soccer field and in their schools. We ensure that our players are biblically and academically sound, so we encourage our boys and girls to put forth their best in their bible study and schoolwork. We consistently follow up and check their performance in school. Our approach has so far proven fruitful and has kept many kids off of the streets and out of trouble. We are breaking the odds and negative cycles of thinking about education. In Africa, many times, kids who are very talented at soccer or other sports in general believe that education is just an option. They would rather chose athletics over education. At PSA, we are teaching our players to find a balance and learn to accommodate both sport participation and education.

GIRLS PROGRAMS

Our soccer fields have become a platform for girls to easily open up to one another and learn valuable life skills. Our female coaches teach effective teenage pregnancy prevention, skill training, activities-based HIV/AIDS awareness, along with fair play soccer and peer-led community outreach activities. This has proved that our academy goes beyond sport and has yielded tremendous results. Our soccer academy has created a culture to connect girls and adolescents with vital information, skills, and empowerment related to their health, rights, and wellbeing. When a girl participates in athletics, it enables her to transform the way she thinks of herself and challenge gender stereotypes.

Costs

NOTHING. Most soccer academies in Zambia charge a monthly fee to their participants to help cover various costs. However, it is Precision Sports policy to provide soccer training to the underprivileged kids in Zambia at no cost. PSA does not charge any fee to the athletes and therefore they are able to train for free. However, this has put a financial burden on PSA to cover financial responsibilities in order to keep the academy running efficiently. PSA attracts kids from Kamanga, Mutendere, Kaunda Square.  PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING.
